General Update

Well, apparently I dodged a bullet: I hear there was a possible norovirus outbreak at a con I was at recently, but I don't seem to have contracted it. Always good, to not get sick.

The cat is sitting on my lap and making the oddest little noises. Sort of a purr combined with a meow combined with a sigh. It ends up sounding like a burble. I have a burbling cat. She is very much in a sit-on mode, probably because between Christmas and business travel and bid travel Motorcycle Boy and I have been taking turns being away, except when we're away together. So I have a fairly large furry barnacle just now.

Work continues on the house. We have hopes of moving soon. Really. Soon. Hopes.

I am traveling again to Austin this weekend and then to Chicago in a few weeks, and after that I'm hoping to not really go anywhere for a month.

Everything is lagging behind. But I am trying to get caught up.

What has everyone else been up to?

EEEE AUSTIN.

I am free, though planning a trip up to DFW area to see a friend; which day is likely to be most propitious for seeing you guys, so I can try to schedule around this?

We are most likely arriving sometime Friday, departure not yet settled but likely late Saturday. Many of our arrangements are currently unsettled, but about 11am-4:30pm Saturday is carved off and solid.

So maybe Friday or maybe Saturday, depending on how arrangements pan out.

Don't suppose there is crash space where you are? As that is one of the things we have not properly arranged. Bearing in mind that we are no longer fit to sleep on floors.

You are super busy, so enjoy the barnacle while you can! I'm spending my time mostly working. This year is a hunker down year, and I'm cutting way back on travel to cons. If I sacrifice in the short term this year, I can have lots more fun forever.

Hope you guys are able to get into the new house soon!

Just had to heave the barnacle off the desk chair to make these replies. Not sure how she manages to occupy the whole seat.

Clearly, the curry fries were not the culprit. :)
